Karen Hansen, Coldwell Banker Realtor
I grew up in Stevens Point, WI, where my father was a well-known contractor and my mother a successful realtor. Since a young age I have always loved the special things that houses bring. They are happy places that offer warmth and security to family and a place where close friends gather.
I bought my first house while I was in college studying Occupational Therapy and flipped it shortly after in order to pay off all my student loans. Since that time I have had a full life; being a wife and mother, owning my own business, and something that I am passionate about, which is serving my community. I have been fortunate enough to sit on and head many public service and economic development boards, and volunteer with health and humanity organizations that promote independence and quality of life for people who may otherwise end up in institutions. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the impact hard work and dedication can make on a community.
Becoming a realtor has been a perfect fit for me. I love helping others; it is what I am most passionate about. And growing up in my parent’s footsteps I learned to look past walls, and see opportunity and potential. Being a realtor I get to do both of these things every day!
